Meet Dr. Irwin Garcia, DACM, L.Ac., LMT
Founder of Blue Sky Acupuncture
As a Doctor of Acupuncture and Licensed Massage Therapist, I founded Blue Sky Acupuncture to bring a higher level of personal attention back to patient care. Most practices separate acupuncture and hands-on bodywork into isolated treatments; my practice seamlessly integrates both into a single, cohesive experience.
By combining advanced orthopedic diagnosis with specialized manual therapy, every treatment is personally conducted to address the root cause of discomfort or support natural facial rejuvenation. No handed-off care, no generic protocols—just precise, thoughtful treatment designed entirely around you.
Clinical Focus:
Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine (DACM)
Dual-Licensed in Acupuncture & Massage Therapy
Specialist in Orthopedic Pain & Biomechanical Recovery
Specialist in Facial Rejuvenation & Cosmetic Acupuncture

Frequently Asked Questions

Your first visit is an in-depth, private consultation and physical assessment:
For Pain & Athletic Care: I perform a detailed structural and orthopedic movement analysis to identify the exact physical mechanism behind your restriction. This is immediately followed by targeted therapy, using whichever specialized tool your body needs—including orthopedic needling, deep tissue medical massage, or myofascial cupping.
For Cosmetic Rejuvenation: We map out an extensive analysis of facial tissue tone, tracking micro-circulation patterns and natural structural aging markers. Treatment begins immediately, using highly precise facial acupuncture, target micro-needling, and manual sculpting to stimulate collagen, lift, and tone the tissue.
-
No. We work exclusively with medical-grade, sterile, single-use filaments that are incredibly thin—about the width of a single hair. They look and feel completely different from the heavy, hollow needles used for blood draws or injections at a hospital.
For Body Work: You will feel a dull, warm, heavy sensation or a quick muscular twitch. This is a highly positive indicator that tells us a deep, restricted tissue knot has successfully let go.
For Facial Work: The micro-filaments are completely painless. Most patients find the rhythmic facial mapping process so soothing that they fall completely asleep on the table.

True structural healing requires a progressive, cumulative approach to properly retrain tissue patterns. Your plan is entirely customized to your body's specific baseline:
Clinical Pain & Musculoskeletal Injury: Many patients report a drop in pain levels after their very first visit. For chronic structural issues, a targeted series of 6 to 8 focused treatments is typical to completely stabilize the area and protect against future re-injury.
Cosmetic Rejuvenation: While you will walk out of your first session with an immediate, visibly sculpted glow, long-term collagen rebuilding and cellular structural changes typically require a sequential series of 10 to 12 weekly treatments, followed by simple monthly maintenance.

Because acupuncture works cumulatively to remodel tissue, your plan is entirely customized to your body's healing rate:
Clinical Pain & Injury: Many patients feel relief after their first visit. Chronic structural issues typically require 6 to 8 focused treatments to fully stabilize and help prevent reinjury.
Aesthetic Rejuvenation: While you will leave your first session with a visible "sculpted glow," lasting structural changes and collagen rebuilding typically require a progressive series of 10 to 12 weekly treatments, followed by monthly maintenance.
